Origin Story …
Cleaning your fermentation bottles and jars is an important and necessary part of any fermentation practice and making this process and simple and effective is key to keeping your cultures healthy and performing at their best.
The bottlebrush cloth resulted after much frustration with finding an effective an easy to use method and tool to clean the inside of previously used bottles such as swing-top bottles and re-purposed screw top bottles especially those with a narrow neck.
The most challenging aspect is to remove any scum that can build up on the inside of the bottle including dried fluke and sediments often found at the bottom of a used bottle. This happens with both water kefir and kombucha fermentation.
Our cloth addresses this issues head-on without the need for harsh chemicals or any additional equipment. Traditional bottle brushes are not required. All you need is the bottlebrush cloth, some vinegar, a little hot water and for really tough stains using bicarbonate soda may be an effective add-on to the cleaning process.
The bottlebrush cloth uses micro-mesh technology. Combined with its unique shape in comination with our cleaning technique provides an effective and enviro-safe solution to cleaning fermentation bottles and jars with minimum fuss.
The cloth features a micro-weave that makes it non-fraying and has a super fine ’tooth’ which allows it to be effective in contact cleaning the internal and external surfaces of glass, plastic and metal equally well.
